Lower Cribden Avenue Millennium Fund
The 2007 Lower Cribden Avenue Millennium Fund May Ball at St Mary's Chambers on Sunday 6th May had a Caribean flavour with everyone dressed for a caribean cruise. Amongst the guests there were American tourists, crew and the dreaded English abroad whilst some were attired in black tie and ball gown - well men in black tie and women in ball gowns! We swished into the ball room of our Cruise Liner SS Cribbean and enjoyed a splendid evening of fun, feasting and entertainment. Only the LCA 24 hour party people could recreate the essence of a Caribbean Cruise from 70 miles inland and several thousand miles from the Caribbean. We had a real steel band, casino, limbo, Mark’s disco and the usual fast-as-we-can raffle. As ever, we had dancing classes to prepare us for the Ball from Chris Marlow.
And hundreds of photos were taken to remember the evening. Here are some to demonstrate all the fun we had!
